lovely girl won't you stay.

The other week I was very lucky to go and see The Lumineers. My friend had a spare ticket and I jumped at the chance; after seeing them at Glastonbury I knew I had to see them again. It was great, their support band were incredible (Phox, for those wondering) and being in a smaller environment meant that I could really appreciate those Southern gents more than I could when I was in a field. The atmosphere was great and the whole place felt quite cosy; I think it helped that there were giant chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, but hey ho (see what I did there). Going to gigs always makes me want to book a million more tickets to see loads more bands. I use to see so many; maybe it'll be something that I aim to do more of next year.

my week, according the photos i've taken.

This week (well last week now-you can see I'm editing slightly) has been good, and this weekend has quite possibly been one of the best ones I've had in ages. This week I caught up with a friend and had a fab dinner, went to a comedy club, got to the final stages of booking a holiday, slept a lot and got asked by a friend if I wanted to see the Lumineers this week. Can we just repeat it all over again?

This weekend was pretty good, Alex has now openly stated that Sundays are my day as I 'just know how they should be.' I swear people have got it the wrong way round; it's suppose to be 5 days off and 2 days working right?! I'd be cooking, taking walks and film watching non stop!

just along the thames.

A few weekends ago Alex and I were invited to a past colleagues' wedding reception on a boat. I was not going to pass this opportunity up, I boat party up the River Thames. It completely poured it down all day but luckily the boat was not open and so we stayed cosy and, more importantly, dry!
The decorations were great too; little scramble messages dotted around the boat a long with poetry books and photos from their grandparents' wedding days. It was lovely to go to, and I'm glad Alex got to come along...oh, and the cupcakes and food was delicious!
