We love exploring all the different routes and streets in London. We always, unintentionally, end up in Charlotte Street and I love it. It is full of yummy food, cocktail bars and just round the corner is a massive Paperchase!

nero is my hero.

A few years back my mum and I were shopping and popped into Caffe Nero for lunch. It was around this time of year and so they had their festive treats on offer. It was here that I first tasted their turkey, cranberry and stuffing panini. and my goodness it was delicious! I told Alex about them and of course they disappeared...until now. They have come back and we pounced on an opportunity for a yummy lunch.

Nothing says 'good morning' like pancakes and a mug of tea.

my week, according to the photos i've taken.

It really is that time of year (yes, I love it and go on and on about it!); Christmas is coming and Alex and I are trying really hard to get it all finished asap. I think this is because I want to be able to flit about in December, possibly buying a few little treats for myself and also just getting into the festive spirit without the panic I usually have. Also, my new bag came this week- I'm in love. It's just so new and big and lovely. I've also been making a few more bits and pieces this past week and have been having lots of cozy nights in. It's been lovely.

another christmas present, another hamper.

I'm loving putting together these little hampers (see here); collecting and presenting it all nicely, I just think they make nice, thoughtful gifts. For this hamper I used my favourite thing: Christmas; I know, very apt for me right?!
It's for my uncle, his wife and my baby cousin so I had to have elements of everything in it. I added a Christmas themed story book and a little cuddly Father Christmas for my cousin and then filled the rest of the hamper with things you usually see and don't get the other times of the year; a selection box, a winter scented candle, Ferraro Rochers etc. I also found a great little extra in getting a little sachet of mulled wine spices. As I have to post this gift this little bag of warmth was perfect as I was, originally, going to add a mini bottle of bucks fizz or mulled wine. Now it's just time to add a 'Happy Holidays' banner and this present is good to go.

it's the happiest season of all.

And it has begun! Yesterday marked 6 weeks (yes six!) until Christmas, but before I get ahead of myself and too excited about tinsel, wrapping paper, bows and glitter, I have to mention last Monday but our Christmas countdown could officially begin.
Every year we go into town and watch a different set of Christmas lights begin turned on and this year we went to Oxford Street. The set up was perfectly Christmassy with a Spice Girl, West End stars, an X Factor winner and Robbie Williams himself. It really did put me in the festive spirit- not that I need an excuse!

my week, according to the photos i've taken.

I did so much this week, I just didn't take as many pictures as I wanted. That's what happens when you're out with dinner with friends, and spending the following night out again dancing until the pub closes. The beginning of the week I also spent some time with my mum (here). This week I intend to recharge my batteries (yesterday I spent all day in my pjs/asleep/watching tv, so a good way to start I think), ready for the weekend and whatever I choose to do with it.

pizza and prosecco.

My mum came up last Saturday for her annual November trip. Last time she came up for the weekend (this September), we went out, skipped the food and went straight for the cocktails. This ended up in us thinking it was a great idea to walk home instead of getting a bus which, in turn, resulted in me skipping and singing my way home! This time was different, I felt like settling down and watching Saturday night tv. So we ordered pizza and drank bubbles. This time the night resulted in reminiscing about children's tv, our favourite shows, and not a hangover in sight the following morning.

we're going to the zoo...

We'll actually we've already been. A couple of Saturdays ago, (okay, maybe more like a month and I just keep forgetting to post this adventure) it was time to unpack the winter coats and head out. It was the first time Alex had been to London Zoo and the second time for me. I was twelve last time so it was nice to go back, a lot more years later.
Strolling through the park, seeing all the animals and all in the middle of autumn was pretty much perfect for me!

my week, according to the photos i've taken.

It's been crazy busy, hence why I'm a day late with this post. This past week was full of dark nights, pumpkins, warm tea and my new fabulous nail varnish. It sparkles so much I'm in love. My mum has been up over the weekend and I've had some time off work so it's been great; I'm not ready to go back tomorrow.

ghosts, ghouls and what we actually did.

Just a few snaps from Halloween. We kept to our tradition of eating too much and watching films with no relevance to Halloween at all.
