It's not the full Friday feeling as I have to work on Sunday but it's as good as I'm going to get! I've had my first full week in my new job and I'm planning to meet with a friend from my old job tomorrow. What are your weekend plans?

halloween in july.

As you've seen from recent posts (here and here), my friend's 21st was a Halloween theme. Alex and I went as Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovett; it was fun but as we had an hour and half train ride and then a bus, the journey gave for some interesting looks from passers by. The party was good and I consumed far too many cocktails; it resulted in me coming home the next day, falling asleep in seconds and not waking up for hours. Signs of a good birthday party I think you'll agree.

So many emotions this week: I finally got written confirmation that I will be graduating uni with a 2:1 which was so exciting. I also left my job, ready to start again this Tuesday. I wasn't sad about leaving the place but the friends I've made, made it really sad to leave. We went out for drinks and my friends made this amazing poem for me; I became all soppy and very nearly cried. The rest of the week has been filled with dress shopping, eating out and just counting down days for a new start.

Alex has a job! It has been a long time coming and I'm so proud of him. It's been hard and he picked himself up each time and carried on and now all that hard work has paid off. Well done Alex :)

A while ago you might remember me making one of my mum's birthday gifts (here); well I took on the same principle for my good friend Chantelle and catered it around her favourite time of year; Halloween. I'm really pleased with how the bag turned out. There were long hours painting this one but I think it turned out really well.
