by the riverside.

I really love strolling along the river when its nice out. It was so cloudy when we first headed out so by the time the sun hit I was melting in my jeans. I seem to make this error a lot. We had a little wonder before deciding that jeans really were bad and headed for home.

You can hire rowing boats and go up and down the river. I'm convinced that I'd get stuck and people will have to come and rescue us. Alex assures me it'll be fine and so if the weather gets nice again I think we're going to head out on the river.

thunderstorms.

 (image via pinterest
I don't know about you but being woken up by a pretty intense thunderstorm the other morning was pretty magical. It made me want it to be winter (I've been asking Alex if he could make it be October for the last couple days, he said it wasn't possible!). I'm so looking forward to those darker evenings, snuggled up watching films with copious amounts of tea and popcorn. Anyone else with me?

summer in the city.

Sometime's it's so nice to have a day off in the week (trust me, I'm still living for that time when I never work weekends, but like I said, sometimes). Wednesday saw the sun shining, my sunglasses breaking and my bad idea of wearing black skinny jeans. Alex and I decided Central London was the place to be and it didn't disappoint (does it ever though?).Shopping, gorgeous food (here), and chilling by St Paul's. It was a pretty fantastic day off.

Oh and to top it all off I almost walked straight into Eddie Izzard- our first major celeb spot. We were pretty pleased with ourselves.

walking on sunshine.

The weather held off and was beautiful for my parents quick visit. After my graduation we came back home, changed and went out to celebrate and enjoy the sunshine. We ended up walking a long the river; it was nice to show mum and dad a different part than they usual see/where we usually go. It was lovely afternoon, even if I do think I may have melted!

indoor bbq.

It's hard to think that a little over a week ago we were all complaining about the heat and sunning ourselves as much as possible. As you may know we do not have a garden with our flat and so every summer comes Alex and I enviously look at our neighbours' gardens wishing for one of our own. We do still try and do the typical summer things, i.e. a bbq; it just has to be indoors; so when our friend came to visit we did just that.

park life.

With the recent sun we've had and no garden to enjoy it in, we've been making recent trips to the park. We did this last Sunday and it was lovely, especially since we had our friend, who we haven't seen since last easter, come up and visit us for a couple of days.
